Stop by our video ice cream shop and listen to realistic advice from teens who have made their step-family situation work for them. A Telly Award Winner. Recommended by Video Librarian.
Harmony, respect and a good dose of fun. All members of a blended family want to feel good about themselves and their families. Today, nearly half of teens live with stepparents, stepsiblings and half siblings and all kinds of combinations. Knowing the statistics doesn't make it easier if your family has been rearranged. However, viewers will get a lot of good advice by listening to the Scoop Group teens talk about life in their blended families. The group meets regularly at the local ice cream shop, and they've come up with some excellent survival strategies. Not so coincidentally, they've adopted the SCOOP plan for living well in a blended family. This video will also help students support their friends who are going through changes in the their family units. Reviews: "...offers an encouraging reminder to children of divorce that life does indeed go on...highly recommended." ***½ --Video Librarian Awards: 2007 Telly Award winner.
