About Apogee Communications Group: Arthur Levy, Director of Photography and founder of Apogee Communications Group, has won many awards in his 30+ year career as a film & video professional. Major clients have included ABC, CBS, NBC Networks, Paramount Pictures, and countless international corporations. In addition to news and documentaries, Arthur has shot many medical programs, political commercials, training, marketing programs, and video news releases. Arthur is fortunate to have been behind the camera for many historic events. He shot the very first footage of the crater floor of Mt. St. Helens volcano for CBS Network News on May 31, 1981, shot several stories and network specials on the Olympic games in Los Angeles, covered the Pope's visit to the United States for CBS News in 1979, and traveled with many presidential and vice presidential campaigns for CBS News including the Agnew, Bush, Carter, Church, Hart, Humphrey, Jackson, Mondale, McGovern, and Reagan campaigns. He has shot assignments for Australian, British, Italian, and Japanese television, and worked as a freelance cameraman for UPITN and TVN news services. Arthur also covered the events during the occupation of Wounded Knee, South Dakota in 1973 for CBS News. He spent more than 45 days inside the village during fierce gun fire and was the only cameraman to film the events when the 71 day take over of the village by Ogallala Sioux Indians ended. Footage was used in the 1992 documentary "Incident at Ogallala" narrated by Robert Redford. Levy also appeared on camera in the documentary.
